The Downriver-Detroit Student Film Consortium (DDSFC) is more than just a film making program. We are a community of young people who are passionate about creating, exploring, and expressing themselves. We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to explore their creativity, regardless of their background. Our program not only teaches students the technical aspects of filmmaking but also provides them with a safe and supportive environment where they can develop their skills, gain confidence and learn to express themselves.

We understand that not every student is in the same situation, many of our students come from at-risk backgrounds, have been through difficult experiences, or may have a hard time fitting in. The DDSFC provides them with an outlet for their creativity, and a chance to make new friends, learn new skills and gain a sense of belonging. Our program is designed to bring students together, regardless of their background, and create a positive impact on their lives and the community.

Your donation will help us continue to empower and support these young people as they pursue their dreams. Your donation will help us cover the costs of equipment, transportation, meals for students, contest entry fees, the annual premiere, student awards, and other expenses related to the program. With your support, we can ensure that our students have access to the best equipment and resources, and that they are able to showcase their work to the world.
